Frequently Asked Questions ​

The following launchers are NOT supported and could result in a client ban: ATLauncher, FDB, HMCL, Modrinth, PCL, SKLauncher, Weave Loader.

Game crashes on launch ​

  1. Make sure you are using the latest 1.8.9 Forge (version 2318).
  2. Make sure you have a valid JDK set as your Java executable (version 8, update 161 or later).
  3. If you have OptiFine installed, make sure it is the latest version for 1.8.9.
  4. Make sure you have not placed the Raven jar in your mods folder more than once.
  5. If the issue persists, try a different launcher such as Prism or GDLauncher.

Game freezes on the main menu ​

  1. Make sure you have an active internet connection.
  2. Make sure your system clock is synced: Settings → Date & Time → Sync now (time.windows.com).
  3. Make sure you do not have -noverify or -xverify in your Java arguments.
  4. Try temporarily removing your Raven folder to rule out corrupt config files.
  5. If you recently reset your PC, submit a HWID update request.
  6. If the issue persists, try a VPN — your IP may be blocked by Cloudflare.
  7. Reinstall Minecraft and Java, then restart your PC.

Other issues ​

  • If a Command Prompt window opens when launching, you set java.exe instead of javaw.exe as your Java executable path.
  • If the GUI appears white, disable Fast Render in OptiFine settings.
  • If Name Hider or AntiShuffle is not working, disable Optimized font renderer in Patcher settings.
  • If minigame modules are not working, make sure your Hypixel language is set to English.
  • If you receive a lamp error, install the Patcher mod or clear your corrupted config files.
